Joshua 24:15 “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve … But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
The Bible tells us that the events of our daily lives are part of a tremendous battle. Jesus and satanic forces are battling for the same territory: you and me.
The conflicts in which we are involved are rooted in the battle between two kingdoms. Paul told us that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood” (Eph. 6:12). This gives us new perspective concerning the ordinary events in our daily living. The influence of our lives is greater than we realize. Our attitudes, our smile, or the helpful service are acts in the battle of the kingdom.
A crisis decision is made at an altar to enter the kingdom of God. But the battle is fought on the stage of daily living. Who I serve is determined there.
We must ask ourselves. “Who do I serve?”
Prayer: “Jesus, in every decision I make today keep me aware of the choice I have made above all choices- to serve you.”
